YouTube Playlist Downloader On Android

You do not need to sideload an APK, grant strange permissions or watch an installer full of bundled extras to save a playlist on Android. This downloader runs inside the browser you already have — Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox — on any Android phone or tablet.

Why the browser beats a downloader APK

  • Nothing installed – downloader apps are banned from the Play Store, so APKs come from unofficial sources and update themselves outside Google’s review. A web page cannot touch your system.
  • No permissions – no access requested to your contacts, notifications or other apps.
  • Always current – when YouTube changes something, the site updates server-side; there is no outdated app on your phone to break.
  • Works on every Android – old phones, tablets and Android Go devices included.

How to download a playlist on Android, step by step

1. In the YouTube app, open the playlist, tap Share → Copy link. 2. Come back to this page, paste the link in the box at the top and tap Get Playlist Videos. 3. Tap Download on each video and choose MP4 (up to 1080p) or MP3 audio.

Where do the files go on Android?

Your browser saves them to the Downloads folder. Open the Files app (or Chrome’s menu → Downloads) to find them. Videos appear automatically in your gallery and music players pick up the MP3s. On phones with an SD card you can change the download location in Chrome’s settings → Downloads.

Tips for phone downloads

  • On mobile data, prefer 720p or audio-only: a full 1080p playlist can eat several GB.
  • Keep the browser in the foreground while a file is saving; some battery savers pause background downloads.
  • If a download opens a sponsor tab the first time, close it and tap the button again — the second tap saves the file.

On an iPhone instead? See the iPhone playlist downloader guide. For audio-only playlists go straight to playlist to MP3.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to install an app or APK?

No. Everything runs in your Android browser. There is nothing to install, which also means nothing asking for permissions on your phone.

Why can’t I find a playlist downloader on Google Play?

Google Play policy does not allow apps that download from YouTube, so the apps you find there do not really do it, and real downloader APKs live on unofficial sites. A browser tool avoids that whole problem.

Where are my downloaded videos saved?

In the Downloads folder of your phone. Open the Files app or your browser’s Downloads menu to see them; videos also show up in your gallery.

Does it work on Samsung Internet or Firefox?

Yes. Any modern Android browser works — Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Opera, Brave.

Can I download in the background?

The file transfer itself is handled by the browser’s download manager, which continues in the background. Just start each download with the page open.
